The Movies Under the Stars started last September wherein the City of Gold Coast prepared a list of family friendly movies. Before this end on March 2016, make sure to add “watch a movie under the stars with the whole family” on your to-do list.
Below are three must-see films at the Movies Under the Stars.
1. Penguins of Madagascar
Everyone knows the penguins from the Madagascar film series which follows the adventure of Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippopotamus, and Melman the giraffe. After the last film – Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted is the adventure of our little friends.
Penguins of Madagascar tells the untold story of the four penguin brothers – Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private and their double life as secret agents. It traces back on how they became masters of disguises, espionage, and aerial assault. Now, they are on a mission to stop a madman but encounters competition along the way. The North Wind, an elite undercover workforce dedicated to help those who cant help themselves are also on a mission to stop the evil Dr. Octavius Brine.

2. Shaun the Sheep
Shaun and his flock knows how to have a good time but his mischief backfired causing the Farmer to be taken away to the Big City. In this big screen adventure, Shaun the Sheep, Bitzer the Sheepdog, and the flock unite to find and bring back the missing Farmer.
This hilarious and action-packed adventure also introduces new characters you'll surely love. Watch Shaun the Sheep Movie on January 9 at the Broadwater Parklands Marine Parade in Southport.
3. Paper Planes
Get ready to take off in this imaginative children's film, Paper Planes. It is about Dylan, a young Australian boy who has a special gift in creating flying paper planes and has passion for flight. See how he faces his life challenges, handles distractions, and competes in the World Paper Plane Championships in Japan.
Catch the Paper Planes on January 24 at Broadwater Parklands Marine Parade in Southport.
